We are planning to go to Thailand in November 2008. Can you please give advice.
Which airline to use?
We are planning to stay Pattaya area.
We are a married couple in our early sixties, we require a good quality hotel for our stay.
Websites and any info would be most gratefully recieved.
Is this a good time of the year to visit?
Anywhere else to stop over on route?
What exactly are you wanting from your holiday, do you want a beach holiday or are you wanting culture and exploring?
July-Oct are rainy season, Nov is cooler but less rain, its not permanent anyway comes in bursts!
Is the Pattaya area where you would like to go or are you open to offers, depends what you are looking for?
Lots of excellent hotels either way, let me know answers to above maybe I could help a bit....
For airlines - it really is a case of finding the best deal. Why not combine your resort with a stay in Bangkok? Have a look at Phuket or Krabi as well. I haven't looked to stay in Pattaya as it doesnt seem to be an area I would enjoy. What are you looking for from the resort?
A 'must' restaurant is Cabbages and Condoms, it's a truly magical setting.
November is a great time to visit as it's their dry season... however, a wise man said to me recently that it's only the dry season when it stops raining !!
We always use Thai Airways the staff are wonderful and the seat pitch is 34" .
Cheers Geri
and 2 large pools people very friendly,a 5 min taxi van to the main shopping area
these vans will stop anywhere for you and are really cheap.
You should have at least 3/4 nights in Bangkok the palaces should not be missed.
Our hotel in Bangkok was the Amari Boulevard good position.

I would also reccomend the Dusit. Also see my post regarding Pattaya.
