There are plenty of places that will do you stuff like chicken and chips etc..in fact anything with chips..

Do they eat things like pasta etc?

perhaps they could be persuaded to be a bit more adventurous..the cuisine in Malta/Gozo is so varied I am sure there is something they will like.

the unnoficial Maltese national dish is burger and chips. Pies are a plenty.

Pies are a plenty - true, but for a fussy eater they won't be the same as at home, and certainly won't be pie and mash style pies

Yes you can now find Leicester's 'Pukka pies' in quite a few places now Mark. I guess that they have not yet made there way over to Gozo. A pity that mash is not to be found though.

I doubt they would pass Gozo's very strict quarantine regulations on the importation of pastry-based comestibles.

I'd assumed by pie and mash, the OP meant East End-London style - maybe Midland's produce would suffice

My grandson had a Leicester Pukka Pie when we were in Malta and said it didn't taste as good as the ones from here (he lives near to Leicester).
