Hello
I have been given the name of a doctor phonetically and I need to find out if I am spelling it right so I can do a search on the internet.
We believe the name is
MAVERIOUS
MARAVIOUS
MATHERAYOUS
For example, if you gave me 100 or more British surnames, I could spell them for you...............but I am not familiar with Greek names.
Please help, without going into too much details this could be a matter of life or death and I do not have time on my side for this
Thank you in anticipation
MAVERIOUS=MAVRIS (correct spelling in greek μαυρης)
MARAVIOUS=MARAVDAKIS (μαραυδακης)
MATHERAYOUS=MATHIOUDAKIS (μαθιουδακης)
what makes me wonder is the ous that you have used in all the possible surnames. the ''normal'' cretan name ends in AKHS. there are offcourse other cretan names that are not AKHS.
in the case you have writen the name and not surname the only one i come close to is MATHEOS which is not so familiar in crete.
in case you know area in crete, or particular prof of him try http://www.hellasyellow.gr/ to locate him via the yellow pages
