Hi There, I went to the Sunrise Hiliday resort in Hurghada a couple of years ago. The food was very good as i recall. There were two main restaurants, both serving the same food (buffet). One for smokers, the other non-smokers. They had excellent deserts. There is also a speciality restaurant which you can book for- seafood nights which costs about an extra £10 if you want lobster. Up the road from the hotel..a couple of minutes walk, you will find many cheap restaurants. In The Foyer of the reception, during the afternoon, they serve cakes, gataeux pancakes etc with tea and coffee. There is a beach bbq at lunch. I even had soft drinks, peanuts and chocolate in my mini bar..free of charge. Hope this helps..Ken

It is very cheap to eat here in Hurghada. Obviously if you go to Hard Rock the prices are more expensive but by British standards it is still cheap. Pitta Sphinx in Sekalla, just round the corner from McDonald's serves excellent food, good portions and is good value for money. Further up Sheraton Road there is a cafe with tables and chairs outside, called 'For You'. Their food is also very good. There are McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Hardies, Costas if you want fast food.
I cannot praise highly enough our latest Italian place called Costini. Their food is freshly cooked and we have never had a bad meal there yet. Their Frappucino's are to die for so don't come to Hurghada expecting to lose weight.

The all inclusive concepts in the Hotels are in the main good and cater for all tastes, the most common complaint though is that it is basically the same food all the time with different sauces.

You certainly won't break the bank if you decide to go B/B though.
