Thanks Angie, since I posted I've googled the info and found the type of plug needed but the page also says that a power converter might also have to be used in some countries. Do you know if just the adaptor plug will do in the countries I mentioned.

Shirley the adaptor plugs will be enough as long as all the electrical items she is taking with her are worldwide voltage.
