The type of adapter you need in Jamaica has 2 flat parallel prongs and can be bought at most supermarkets,i believe this type is also used in the USA,Canada etc.
Thanks for your replies. We're going 7 weeks on Saturday - yippee!!! Staying at Rose Hall Resort in Montego Bay - can't wait. I know what plugs you mean, similar to one's we use in spain etc, but the prongs are flat rather than rounded (?)
We`ve just got back from Jamaica so also be aware that the voltage is only110 not 240 like in the uk so any plug in appliances ( unless dual voltage) you take from the uk could `run` slower , i had a chap tell me his camcorder batteries just would not gharge up properly so be aware, have an IRIE time though.
useful info re voltage thanks - If my straightners don't work then there's gonna be TROUBLE !! lol 3 weeks on Saturday - can't wait!!!!
My Wife and Daughter have the new GHD`s and they adjust themselves to the 110 voltage in Jamaica , they were both impressed by them, they worked as well as in the UK
Thanks for the infor re GHD's. Mine aren't that new but hopefully fingers crossed they work as good. If not i'll be the white person with afro style hair ha! ha! ha! 2 weeks on saturday - can't wait !!!!!
