Adriano is beautiful, if quite quiet. There are about half a dozen good quality restaurants and the harbour cafe for just a drink (and a snack) overlooking the yatchs and the sunsets. There is a very nice beach with beach bar/cafe too.
El Toro itself has a few bars that appear quite Spanish but actually have good mixed clientele. There is a great Tapas bar (although its up for sale so might have changed by next year!). A new bar is opening at the top of the main street which promises to become my local!!
Santa Ponca is 30-40 minutes pleasant walk away (passing a very pleasant German bar called Zeitlos which has super cocktails and quite nice modern tapas) or about 4-5 Euros in a taxi.
Good luck, I'm sure you will love the area!!
