Sonesta beach resort sleeps 5-6 in one room, these rooms you can only get through thomson/portland and they are called the double family rooms. The rooms are spilt level and are very big. Its 15 mins walk into Naama Bay.

I would of thought most decent hotels in the red sea area have at least interconnecting rooms that you may not know about via the t/o. We are a family of 5 . we booked two rooms at the Hilton sharks bay and they were both interconnecting ( the boys werent too happy about that though and locked theirs on the other side ). again many also have suites that could accomodate you. Not sure how old your children are but you may find the interconnecting rooms work out cheaper for you even paying the adult prices as the T/os charge an obscene amount in supplements for family rooms
.Sharm is very easy to do as a DIY . It may be a better option for you to choose 2/3 hotels first then email them to find out if they have interconnecting rooms or suites and get a price direct . They dont normally charge you extra for the interconnecting and many would do the 2nd room cheaper if its just for children.
. I know if you booked the hilton sharks bay via http://www.hilton.co.uk they would do a good deal for children in the 2nd room just make sure you stipulate 2 interconnecting

Thanks everyone for all the replies. I shall be very busy for next few hours doing my research now. My boys are 14, 12 and 7 so dont really want them totally alone. A suite or interconecting rooms sounds a good idea.

Hi we went to the sonesta beach resort Taba last year we had interconnecting rooms our girls aged 7,7,11 at the time had one room we had the other it was great because it was actually 2 rooms (which you dont notice with the connecting door open) we had 2 balconies for drying stuff and 2 bathrooms for getting ready at night 2 tv's etc. We have booked interconnecting rooms again for the HV Red Sea august 2008. Hope you have a great time what ever you book
