I just booked transfers with Girotransfers and asked if we needed to get a carseat for my nephew and was told "As long as they are strapped in it's not compulsory for a 4 year old to have a childseat!"
Hope this is correct as we don't really want to lug a car seat with us either.

Complete waste of time. There were no seat belts in the coach!Apart from that Resort Hoppa provided a punctual and convenient transfer. Will use them again-minus the booster seat.
Are they compulsory in Europe? I say this because even after the changes to the laws over here (to bring us into line with Europe I understand) they are not compulsory on coaches, minibuses or taxis in the UK.
