there was a bear in Sunny Beach. I didnt see it but my wife did. She asked if she could give the bear some water that she had as it looked really ill. She was told no but can give them money to take a picture, which she "polietly" declined.
I`ve seen a gipsy couple in their mid 50`s or something with a bear several times in Sunny Beach the last five years. I have been told that as soon as COT (local security) see them, they are removed from the area. I came back Thursday last week and did not see them then, so I believe they keep on the side of the main road outside the gates.

There was a recent Bulgarian newspaper report saying that the 'last dancing bear' had been taken to a sanctuary run by a charity headed by Brigitte Bardot.
Some Bulgarian newspaper stories (and those from other countries) need to be taken with a large pinch of salt.
