My wife and I are staying for 9nights in Pollensa old town in August but would like to extend our holiday by staying for 2-3 nights in Palma.

We would really appreciated if anyone can anyone recommend a good clean hotel (only basic facilities needed) in a central location (walking distance to the city centre) and how best to book the hotel (direct or via an agency).

Secondly, we will not be hiring a car and have arranged an airport transfer from the airport to Pollensa. What would be the best way to get back to Palma, is their good public transport links?
