Congratulations Helen! Have you seen this post? At the end I recommend a hotel that's central, clean and has a decent breakfast.
Merged with existing topic.
Got back a couple of weeks ago, cant really add much to what has already been said, except, if you are interested in Pope John Paul at all, there is an arch opposite the Franciscan Church with a large framed photo of The Pope above it.
I stayed in the Hotel Wyspianski which you can book through the easyjet site.
5 mins walk into the old town centre.
Hello I have just booked a last minute break to Krakow going on Sunday 26th, is it possible to just walk in to a dentists there or would I have to try and find one before I go to prebook, thanks for any replies.
Can anyone tell me the price of a taxi from the airport into the centre please? The names of any nice eating places or pubs would be helpful too. Thanks in advance.
may help if you klet us know which 'centre' you mean??
I'm assuming it is Krakow, from a previous post.
handy.
Sorry about that - yes Fiona I did mean Krakow.
I've added that to the title to help
Thanks for that Fiona. I forgot that it was a general Eastern Europe forum
can't find an uptodate answer but from Dec 2005 one of the posts in the City Breaks forum says it was £12 one way.
That's ok, I was thinking along the lines of £20 each way.
I'm looking to book a trip to Krakow in the middle of December and was wondering where you might suggest staying? I plan to rent an apartment for roughly 8 people for 4 days and would like it to be centrally located near bars, resturants and clubs (its mainly the nightlife we're going for) so walking distance for all of the above would be the priority.
I've heard of the central square? but is this really "where its at" or can you tell me other streets and areas that I should be looking to get the apartment.
Thanks
paty
Try this link. They are quality appartments and the owner is very very helpful.

Any ideas for a nice 3 or 4* hotel that is central for Krakow, and an idea of price in a taxi from the airport. Thanks

Also look at the Krakow section under City Breaks

The taxi cost about £10 from the airport to the centre
