Just looked at the reviews but wondered if anyone has been this year and can give me a view on the hotel? Looked on there website and it looks very nice, small pool, close to bars, restaurants and the beach. Been moved here from some other accomodation and it looks better than what we had booked
They'll be 5 abults and 2 kids under 3 going so it looks like it covers all options for all of us.
hi speedopants, not stayed this year, but did so in 2005. we too, were moved by our holiday provider to this hotel, although it was our own choice to do so, and the hotel was really great. the rooms are huge, we are only a couple and were placed in a one bed apartment with no extra charge, it even had 2 family sized bathrooms so would be so convenient for a family with kids. there are also two bed apartments which look even bigger! it was spotless throughout too. the bar area is clean, spacious and run by the couple who own/manage the hotel. they will learn your regular tipple by the 2nd night and you won't have to ask twice-sometimes we wern't even charged! they are very friendly and if you ever have any trouble at all they are keen to resolve the problem there and then (are shower tap got stuck, and within 30 minutes it was fixed) yes, the pool is small, but the beach in the resort is really lovely and so all our swimming was done there. you are right next to the main area of shops, bars and restaurants, but it is not loud and rowdy by any means as the resort is not of that type anyway. we were very happy with the accomadation and i am sure you will also enjoy your stay.
Brilliant, thank you very much for that info. Really looking forward to going now, just a week and half to go.
Thought the Hotel was just ok. It was clean, the pool area was ok, the waitresses were very nice and the location was perfect. We found it very basic, the managers of the hotel were very grumpy when they had to do something (little bit of noise in an above room which took 3 days to sort out), the food in the hotel was disgusting, the lift kept breaking (we was on the 2nd floor with 2 kids with 2 pushchairs) - overall it would be a good base for people without kids who just need a bed, pool and bar.
I have just come back from ca'n picafort and walked past the africamar, I joked it had the smallest pool I had ever seen and it is located right on the main road. The road gets busy at times and the pool is on this road as well. Everybody walking by can see into the pool area.
you may have spotted my belly then lol
Did you like it there, I was in the hotel over the road from you, the Gran Vista. Really nice hotel. I still can't get over how small the pools is at the africamara.
it was ok but probably wouldn't go again.
