Was due to fly to Alicante on Tuesday 3rd July for 9 days in northern Costa Blanca.

Due to family illness i cannot now make it, meaning my wife and 2 girls 13 and 14 will be traveling alone.

Am looking at sending them to Benidorm for 9 days but need to sort out tomorrow (Sunday) the following.

1 - Accomodation - ideally self caterng decent place near beach and near main attractions (do not know BEnidorm too well) can anyone come up wth any ideal place that i will be able to book this close to the time?

Place needs to be clean and tidy but does not need to be the Ritz, if you know what i mean?

2 - How easy are the transfers from Alicante airport to Benidorm, from what recall it is about 30 min? - how much are cabs? and how easy are the buses and book and get you to the resort (will be arriving in Alicate mid afternoon)

Would be much appreciated to anything as ideally need to book up tomorrow somewhere is at all possible and because i have not done my homework on Benidorm will need to maybe in a rush, any seasoned Benidorm traveler with any info would be very useful.
