Karaoke bars I don't think there will be a problem, but Scottish pubs - why?

Isn't the whole idea of going abroad to have new experiences in new places.?

That includes different drinks in Bulgarian bars, not in some artificial and poorly presented English, Scottish or Irish pretend pub.

Enjoy Bulgaria, enjoy the difference! That's what travel is all about.

The cunningly named 'Elaine`s Scottish Pub' is described online as being across the road from the Balkan hotel, in the Northern part of the resort.

I always laugh about this. At the risk of generalising; I'll say that us UK'ers are so devoid of culture. We go to all these countries and look for the pubs that remind us of home and spend the morning trying to find a place that does a good 'English' breakfast. Bloody tourists

We were in Elaine's Scottish pub in Sunny Beach. We never saw or heard a thing remotely resembling Scotland or even Britain. Drinks were cheap though!
