can i use my phone ok in rhodes or is it better to buy a sim card when i arrive?i'm taking my 17 year old daughter and her friend and i'd like be on the safe side and to keep in touch even if she wouldn't
My ancient mobile works fine in Rhodes but calls home are expensive. Keep meaning to buy a sim out there but never seem to get round to it 
so can't comment how much cheaper it would be.

Just check with your network before you go but should be fine. It's very expensive to make/receive calls but i tend to keep in touch by text which although costs more than back home it's only pence.
