Husband is going to Dublin Monday, just for few days. Break was booked on Gold Card - so that gave him his holiday insurance cover too. Since the booking, however, he has been diagnosed with AF (Atrial Fibrilation - heart) I know he will have to disclose this when booking holiday abroad..but would he have to disclose this now..seeing as Republic of Ireland is classed as part of UK?

I rather think the Republic of Ireland (Eire) would take exception to be classed as being part of the United Kingdom, but concede a holiday insurance policy could take that view.

However, with insurance honesty is best, as it's essential you disclose known illnesses before travel. The consequences can be refusal to meet claims, and very expensive bills.
