You could be right Kevin, I have just checked his London dates; and their is a gap from 25th August until he recommences on 28th, but as you say it would be best to check it out carefully before jumping in, as in the blurb about the 21 dates in London; it does say these are his only European dates this year

There has been a great deal of media speculation for several weeks surrounding the status of this proposed concert. It would certainly be worth making further enquiries before considering buying tickets.

Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie were discussing this on their Radio 2 show the other night. They mentioned a few places he's (supposed to be?) playing, one of which was Benidorm.

No inference was made that these were just rumours though.

The powers that be in Benidorm are saying that they have been dealing directly with his agent in the USA and he has a contract to perform in Benidorm, they have supposidly paid half the money up front.
However, both Prince and the Rolling stones are using the Millenium Dome (not Wembley) to stage their concerts and the Rolling Stones have the dates either side of the 25th August when Prince is supposed to be performing in London/Benidorm? and it would be impossible for the stage crew to erect/dismantle the stage.

Awww Frank, he can play in my back garden anytime, he's unique. but looking at the prices for some of the tickets, bejaysus the promoters are taking the michael.
It's called the "Earth Tour" and he'd have to move heaven and earth for me to pay over £100 to £170 for a good seat.

Don't buy any tickets for 25th August for Prince in Benidorm, cos it is official that he ain't gonna be there.

They are trying to get another "superstar" to come and perform and they have put later dates forward to Prince to consider, but that is in the hands of Prince himself and nothing is being announced until it is in concrete.
