Don't know Sunny Beach in detail, but looking at the Hotel Kavkaz reviews we have, it sounds OK to me. You can always see what a google search brings up, but don't forget there are some faddy people about.

The secret with Bulgaria is to go with an open mind determined to enjoy yourself, and most people with that attitude do.

Some of us have been going year after year since 1989 and longer, it's that bad!

Judging by the scale of THIS MAP the Kavkaz (in Sector 'B') is around 1.75 kilometres from the market (near the Magnolia in Sector 'D').

You'll find clothes shops/stalls all over the resort - most things are likely to be much cheaper in Burgas, if you take a trip there, rather than in the resort.

There is also a market in one of the nearby villages once a week - IIRC every Thursday.
