My partner has booked next week off work and we'd love to do something - either overnight somewhere nice or even just a couple of day trips to see something. We love jumping in the car and just driving and see where we end up, but we'd love to go and do something different.

We live in West Lothian and i'd enjoy going to see something historical or something Scottish related. So does anyone have any tips? Something a bit different - ive seen all the local stuff far too many times - i was thinking St Andrews or the Highlands or something?

P.S. I hate tents lol
