When I contacted customer services they said it was actually only the inbound which was cancelled, the outbound was still on.
We were offered a choice of 13/9 or 10/9 as an alternative inbound flight. 13/9 was no good as I couldn't get the extra time off work plus it meant 2 more days hotel and sustinance costs.
We were tempted to the 10/9 as the flight was much more sociable (departing 15.15 rather than 02.30 the next morning) but as we were only going for 7 days felt we were losing a days holiday.
Anyway upshot is we went for the cancellation option and managed to get flights with Monarch the same dates but approx. 2 hours later each way. Horrible flight time coming back but as we have done it DIY at least we don't have to mess about altering hotel dates, transfers, work etc.and we still get the full 7 days and nights in Turkey.
We booked with Avro-cost 144 pp if it's any help to anyone who might be looking for flights those days. Travel Republic also have it for £150 pp at the moment.
