Just had an email from the people we're renting from - the connection is not wireless; we have to plug into the Internet. [as the tv is cable, I would assume that the internet is part of the same package.]
So will take the broadband modem, + power lead and camera lead AND the card reader - they're already in the laptop carrybag
Now another question - on another board re: a similar question, someone posted:
"Hints if you take your laptop out of your home:
1. Take a network cable with you
2. Outside the UK do
NOT use a modem. A connection will cost you an International call.
3. For wireless, get hold of some software called "Network Stumbler"
Anyone know anything about "Network Stumbler". IPass Connect was also mentioned, but that's aimed more at the businessman.
