I am planning on going to Benidorm for the November Fiesta and would appreciate some advice on which hotel to book.
Would like to be central enough to see as much of the planned Fiesta Itinary as possible and dont care whether hotel or apartment.
I am also not fussy as to star rating - just dont want to be miles away from most of the events with Benidorm being such a big resort.
Just 2 adults going so have no need to consider extra facilities for kids or noise levels.
Hope this is enough info to get help from you Benidorm experts.
Thanks
John
Hi John ... most of the celebrations and the best of the atmosphere tend to be concentrated around the Old Town. It is a very busy time in Benidorm and assuming that you are talking about this November, you may find that Old Town accommodation is already in short supply. You could look at places such as Avenida Hotel, Avenida Apartments, Hotel Canfali, Hotel Madeira Centro, to mention just a few. We have separate topics for each of those properties where you may find more information, and all of them are also featured in our reviews section. We also have a previous topic specifically about Old Town hotels ...
Yes it is mostly centred in the old town, we are at the opposite end but we wanted a certain hotel, everything is on a timetable though, so we can just stroll down an hour or so before it is a fantastic fiesta, and also for one euro the buses run every few mins, and you can be down there quite quickly, if you want to be in the heart of it you need an hotel in the old town
It is confirmed by the Benidorm tourist information that the Fiesta starts on the 9th november 2007 that is the friday night, and ends on the wed the 15th, just in case anyone wanted to know the dates
Will we miss the best bits - if we manage to get there, we come home the 13th
No lots going on for the five days, shame that you miss the firework display at the end, but lots of other things to see, listen out each day at 2pm for the loudest bangers ever ot go down and take earplugs, the start of the parade on the sat the 10th from the church is a must, the atmosphere is great
Thanks Rosie
What is the weather like on end of Nov /beginning of December? I seen the post earlier saying it was in the 70's and cool up until 11am. Will it still be the same? Easyjet charge for each case they pack in the hold now, so I'm hoping to travel out with only the clothing we need.
In general will there be many families out at this time of the year? My son liked the family bars such as Pancho's and The Cellar in the summer (we were Benidorm virgins) and I was wondering if they will still be open and doing things for children?
Any info will be good as I'm hoping to book the flights this weekend
There should still be some activities for the younger ones, but you will find that now that Benidorm is beginning its Winter Season, that a lot of the entertainment will be geared towards the more mature holiday makers.
I must admit, Benidorm wasn't on my short list for a holiday, especially in November, and I had to have my arm twisted before I agreed to go.
What a pleasant surprise I got. It was warm, we got a little bit of sunbathing in.
and very busy place this time of year, it was heaving.. We stayed at the hotel helios at the new end, but visited the old benidorm for the festival, which was fantastic, culminating in a massive firework display on Pontiac beach. the noise was deafening and you could feel the shockwave from the fireworks, brilliant.
On the Thursday the brits take over the festival in fancy dress, wearing everything you can imagine, thousands of them. I was expecting to see a bit bother, but I can honestly say I never seen any.
A thouroughly good holiday helped by three friends who knew there way around, and I will go again, but I think I would stay in the old benidorm, where I felt I was in spain.
Arrived back last night and had a lovely 2 weeks of weather, the fiesta was as wonderful as ever, and this time we went on the beach to watch the fireworks and had a fantastic view they were amazing, the people was telling us over the floods they had had in october, all the bins being swept through the streets and people stuck unable to go out so we were lucky, had 2 lovely weeks of sunshine although chilly later on, made up for the bad summer here in manchester, can't believe yesterday we sat in vests melting and now back to winds and rain and feeling cold, with that awful feeling were home, just another 12 months to go lol
Glad you enjoyed yourself.
Unfortuantely, or fortunately, we were facing the main street where the parade for the fiesta started off, it was going on all night, even fire crackers were being fired at 3 in the morning. As this was the first time we had seen this, we were in an ideal position to see it, but perhaps if you have seen it before the thrill might turn into annoyance.
We are going back again, but October this time, so will miss the fiesta and the fire crackers. lol
Was really magnificient to see all those kids and their groups, bands marching down the street with the fire crackers going off, music playing, it was a great atmosphere. It was just by chance that we booked into the Magic Crystal as we had no idea of the route of the parade.
my friends and i have been going to the benidorm fiesta in november for the last 23 years and all i can say is, it is the highlight of the year.there is a complete mix of ages it all starts on the 7th november but most people arrive on saturday 8th.there is a massive market on sunday and also wednesday i believe .on thursday a lot of british go in fancy dress to a bar called sinatras .the fireworks are not to be missed.a decent british pub in the old town is the pig and whistle.i recommend this week to everyone
Was hoping to see something on the webcams tonight but the Levante one is down and the pontiente is not streaming live, so missed being there this time, will catch some on you tube when holiday makers come home, first time in a while we have missed, love the atmosphere of the nov fiesta
