I myself, would recommend Naama Bay in Sharm El Shekh.Iwould also recommend the Iberotel Lido Sharm Hotel.This is available thru' Thomas Cook in the UK.I've left a review of this hotel.
Naama Bay has plenty of places to eat and drink.Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Pizza hut and McDonalds! There is also an excellent Hard Rock Cafe (a real one!). If you are into it, there is a Pacha nightclub.

Sharm is certainly a very nice resort but it all depends on what you are looking for in a holiday. There are several resorts dotting the Egyptian Red Sea that cater to different needs or market.
