We did a similar trip back in 2004, however ours was with Airtours and consisted of 2 nights in Sharm, the 7 day cruise and then 5 nights back in Sharm. Didn't find it too much of a hassle although we arrived in Sharm late in the evening of the first day, so really only spent 1 day there before leaving (very early) to fly to Luxor.

You don't state when you are going. We have booked exact same trip for Christmas with First Choice staying at Conrad in Sharm. I will post comments when we get back, but if you are going first will you post comments for me please?
