andy here. just found this thread and tought i would put my 10 penneth in. my wife pat and myself have been going to goa since 2000 and this will be our 7th time in november and 8th in february. we first went to north goa. stayed at the santiago. really enjoyed it. but next year got a bit expensive.( air conditioning in rooms and wanted to charge more) so we looked for somewhere else. we discovered cavalossim and the donna sylvia and never looked back. we love the more laid back approach. less hasle on the beach. certainly reccomend the river view. we have sat there many an afternoon. a few beers and watch the kingfishers fishing in the river. food there is excellent. try bettys cruises. it will be the best £10 quid day out you can have. dolphin watching a cruise down the river. lots of birds to watch. bins and bird books provided. and the best bbq cooked on the back of the boat. king fish and huge prawns. and all the drinks you can drink. cannot wait to go on it again in november.
hi Callumn. andy here took your advice and booked the palm grove for 2 nights what would be the best way to spend our time. andy
INVALID URL have lunch at the River View restaurant. Enjoy the beach and maybe go for a walk along it as it stretches for miles and miles. There are bird watching trips, fishing trips and plenty places to just chill. Have a look at my photo's on http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/goanjock/my_photos just a few sugestions any questions just ask and have a great time at the Palm Grove
p.s. I also like to go for an early morning walk maybe catch the sunrise and watch the village wake up, there is also a fishing port just on the edge of Cavelossim heading towards Mobor I sometimes go down early morning before Mrs and Jnr Jock wake up and watch the boats coming in and out.
p.p.s. Laurence will also run you anywhere within 3km radius of The Palm Grove i.e. Mobor or anywhere within the village free of charge
