You are probably 5 minutes walk from the filton centre that is a commercial centre with shops and restaurants. Torrevieja town centre is about 10 - 15 minute drive. Do not know Los Balcones very well sorry. Live near Torrevieja Town Centre

thanks for that--are there any good spanish restaurants in torrivieja itself--dont want pie and chips or yorkshire pudding??

There are loads of restaurants of all nationalities in Torrevieja Itself. The one we like going to is called Festival near the Harbour it is by the Waterfall opposite the daily market. Cheap and not at all greasy like some places. You are spoilt for choice here where to eat. Chinese you can get menu of the day for 4.95 euros this includes either glass of wine, small beer or water and tea and coffee.

My parents live in Los Balcones. There are a few restaurants on the urbanization. Chinese which is ok, an english bar that serves snacks, and a spanish restaurant with pool that is nice. To walk down to the beach party would take 20-25 minutes but there is a bus service into Torre every 1/4 of an hour, so its not too long to wait if you missed one. In the town centre there are loads of good restaurants. Have a nice time.

Pacha foam party is a must on Wednesdays and Sundays. Get locked before you go though because it is fairly expensive in there.
