It is expensive!.Wait until nearer the time because as its after Easter there will be deals on teletext,unless you have to have fixed dates.Try pricing the hotel and flight separately on Thomsons website.

Hi does it need to be march that you go? my wife and I are booked up to go to protaras on the 20th aug 08. we got it for £630 per person 14 days flying from glasgow. what we did was we play three agents off against each other. have a brass neck it works

It seems that thomson is the only airline flying on that day (at the moment) from newcastle to paphos - are you able to fly from a different airport ??? as that flight is very expensive and this is what is pushing the price up.

Leaving it nearer the time may mean more flights come on the system

There are plenty of hotel/accomodation only websites you can try for the hotel such as http://www.findmeaccom.com and http://www.travelrepublic.co.uk which does flight and hotels either together or separately

Marie I'd wait till after Xmas.......as for Thomson maybe just fly with them, we went this June from Manchester flying with Thomson......the hotel is also used by them......the price for two people on there web site same flight same hotel same date was £1600.
I paid £980 with a company that is well known on teletext, but transfers wer'nt included. Not sure if ok to advertise!!!!!!
Also I think Portland or Direct are part TUI and use all usual hotels and flights, can safe 10% normally.

The reason the dates are fixed is because I work in school and those are the school holidays for Easter next year. I can only fly on the Sat 5th or Sun 6th April to get me back in time for school.

Thomson is the only package I can find flying on those dates and I have priced the flight and hotel separately but it is more expensive than the package.

Don't know what to do - don't want to leave it too leave where I can't get booked up but feel the price is way too expensive at the moment.

Very grateful for ideas or information on how to get a good deal!

Hi Marie - not sure if price will come down, as you say you can only fly on those dates as it is the school holiday - travel companies are a pain oputting prices up during the holiday season, Good luck with your search, and do as we did and play the agents off against eash other, they all want the business and comission. We are going on a Thomas Cook holiday but we booked through Thomsons who beat TC prices

Definately play agents and TO directly off each other, we saved about £300 doing that for our Sept hols.
