Not sure on the transfer as we have always flown into MCO.

With regards to a hotel in LBV, I would seriously consider the Comfort Inn LBV. This hotel must have the most up and down reviews in the history of accommodations but it really is rather nice, certainly better than either of the Quality Inn's on I Drive (the Plaza is the best of the two btw).

Hotel itself is very big, good mix of people. Breakfast is provided but to be honest is a bit of a bun fight. You can also upgrade your free breakfast to a buffet, but there are better options to be had in the area to be honest.

Rooms are big, with quite modern furnishings. It is basic but certainly not as basic as some Orlando accommodations. Try and get a room facing the car park, the back of the hotel runs parallel with I4 but don't worry if you can't, we barely heard a whimper during our 8 nights there.

Pool area is nice, relatively small though and could get busy in peak times. There is a laundry room which was handy for us, also gift shops, tour/ticket desks and a convenience shop selling just about everything.

Staff were mainly friendly.

Location is great but without a car I can't comment. We always drive in Orlando. There are some great restaurants at the Crossroads, and also along the main road that leads down from the hotel. I would say you would be looking at a ten minute walk for most restaurants. You can also walk to Downtown Disney from the hotel, it's a fair trek and the roads aren't great to cross but it can be done. Alternatively hop in a cab, it's 5mins drive at the most.

Hotel has a courtesy shuttle to Disney parks which was very busy when we were there. We never used it as we had the car, but it will be an option available to you.

I rated it 4/5 on another forum and would certainly consider staying there again. We booked direct with the hotel and only paid $39 a night, which is around £20 per night. An absolute bargain anywhere in the world.

Good luck
