Thankyou Gemma 33 and tightjock. i know there is a safety deposite boxes in our our hotel i was just wondering if it is safe to leave things in them passports etc. Are taxi's easy to find if you let your one go when you arrive somewhere?Where is Ajuna Market north or south. I love markets when we are away. :)

Anjuna is North but Margao has a great market and near to Colva having said that Goa is small enough to travel anywhere on a day trip. You can hire a taxi for the day or just one way and pick up another the cheapest way from Colva to Cavelossim would be bus followed by a tuk tuk (auto-rickshaw) 15 minutes and 100 rupees maximum.

It's safe to leave everything in the boxes especially passports etc.
Anjuna Market is in North on Wednesday, You can get a boat ride from The South and this usually includes drinks & possibly a BBQ. It allows about 3 hours in market.
If you have problems getting a taxi then all the regulars will faint with surprise.

It is usually cheaper to go both ways in the same taxi than get 2 separate taxis.

Many thanks you you both, Will probably just jump into taxi's to take us everywhere, never been a lover of busses. Really looking forward to this holiday will probably drive BH mad with all i have to tell him. Cheers

Anyone know of a good tailor in the south we are staying near colva, dont mind getting a taxi, i have been told of a few in the north but was just wondering if there were any good one's in the south. :)

Yet another quiestion, can someone tell me how much a taxi would be from the airport to colva and also how much from colva to Ajuna market. :)

G.E.L, If you use pre paid taxi rank outside airport it's approx 520 rupees to colva. As for Anjuna it will depend on wether you want ac or non ac taxi, but will range from 1200/1600 depending. If you get a taxi driver you get on well with and trust and use often, your get it cheaper. We have used the same driver for the past 2 yrs and get charged next to nothing no matter where we go :D

Thankyou G.M.T would prefer to try and use the same taxi driver. Just need answer about the tailor, seems there are no good tailors in the south, would much prefer to use someone local so you can come and go as you please instead of it taking hours to get somewhere. cheers
