Hi there, I have just booked too. Would like to know more regarding location etc. When are you going?
The hotel is set up a steep hill, so if you are disabled or cannot walk easily then maybe this is not the hotel for you.
In the Bar the cheeky chops barman Alex, is very good and really quick at serving, his english is also very good. For a friendly beer outside the hotel try Starbux directly across the road
The food in this hotel is great there should be something for everyone, the chicken kebab on the turkish night is really tasty, a quick tip, go for a drink around 7.30 pm and wait until around 8.30pm before you go in for dinner, you will avoid the rush.
Dont bank on the entertainent keeping you in the hotel, its passable, ali-g and booboo do a decent job but its not the x factor
You will see a guy walking round who looks like the guard from Midnight Express, dont let this put you off, he is the boss and is a really nice guy, he just needs to smile more.
have a great time, I wish I could go again this year
This time we are looking at self catering and these apartments look appealing.
Whats the transfer time from airport? Landing at around 5.00am.
And one for my lad - are there slides at both apartment and hotel pools?
Has anyone stayed at the Club Cettia in Marmaris? We are planning to go 2009 and stay half board . Does anyone know if the breakfasts are pancakes, eggs, toast etc or is it the usual turkish breakfast (cuc, tom, feta etc)? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
Tx
Ive not stayed in the club Cettia, although I do know where it is and it looks fantastic.
However, I have stayed in 13 different hotels in Marmaris, and if it helps any, the majority will only provide foods from the traditional Turkish breakfast.
There include, Meat, cheese, olives, jams, .. and forgive me but Ive forgot the Turkish breakfast!
I have stayed in a few 4/5 star hotels.. and this has been the case.
But, please! Do NOT rely on this information as I havent actualy stayed in the hotel, this is just something to start you off as no-one has posted yet.
We went half board last year and stayed in the apartments. have to say it was one of the best holidays ever.
The bar staff at the apartments were amazing and really friendly. The same couldn't be said for the ones in the hotel though. And because everyone staying in the hotel is AI when we went for breakfast and dinner you got treated like second class, as you have a different coloured band. Most days we were on our dessert and we still had plates at our table from our starter. To get to hotel from the apartments you have to go up some dodgy stairs (wouldn't be easy for the less mobile) and then cross a road. To buy drinks at the hotel you need to put money on a card which can't be used at the bar at the apartments.
If i went again I would go self catering as there are some good places to eat just outside the apartments. Starbucks across the street was great, and some do a fry-up for a pound. The dolmus also passes the front of the apartments, or it's a fifteen minute walk down to the point centre. Alot of people who were AI started to come down to the apartments during the day and pay for their drinks as the atmosphere was amazing. When we arrived we had a room that didn't have much of a view. The reception moved us to a pool view room with an amazing balcony within a few days. If you can get the room at the top over looking the pool. It has a massive balcony and a washing machine
If i ever went back to marmaris I probably would go back to Cettia apartments, self catering
has anyone been to this hotel...went to a lovely hotel 2 years ago but want to try somewhere else? would like to get an idea of where it is? is it clean? staff nice? that kind of thing x
Go below for reviews and some from this year also.
I know i said i was going to get a cheap flight and then book accomodation seperatly, but i couldnt find any cheap flights.
If we did a DIY booking, we would have paid about 240pounds each for the flight, around 30pounds each for a hotel from lowcostholidays, then transfers at around 20pounds each.
This works out at 290pounds per person.
I have just booked a 4star hotel for 312pounds per person, so for the extra 22pounds we have got a better hotel.
Great Yummy thats a good deal!
yes it is . I am so excited
We are considering going to the Club Cettia in Marmaris. We have been looking at the prices for Half Board & All Inclusive and there seems to be quite a big difference. We are not entirely sure about being tied to the hotel with the AI. Does anyone know if you are able to upgrade to AI when you arrive and if so do you know roughly how much it is.
Take a tip, Forget, it as it's cheaper to eat out, Marmaris has thousands of cheap and good quality restauraunts all over £2 breakfast £3 lunch £8 3 course meal.
What date are you going in September? We are staying at this hotel from the 21st.
Just got a good price for this hotel for July 2010 with direct holidays.
Well gone and booked these apartments for July 2010.Booked through Direct holdays - T Cook flights.Hope these are good.
