but I always seem to spend quite easily, about 80 rupees for a large kingfisher
Where do you drink Beach shacks 40/50 rupees
I've found that last season the prices of taxis are ridiculous, I always end up having words with them
Obviously not the right words There are so many taxi drivers, you give them your price, if they don't like it, find another one who does, there will always be one who likes your price
Tony you will be glad to know the River View is also 50 rps for a large Kingfisher
I don't mind what the price is at the River View Callumn, your paying
It's only 50 rps why do you think I am paying tight Jock by name tight Jock by nature
Should have known better
Tony if the view (and fabulous food) wasn't so good at the River View (and from there we could all move on to the Palm Grove 50 rps also) I would buy you a drink at the Leela
8 small Kings and 2 small Kingfisher in a small locals bar in Calungute in Feb this year, total 144Rps..... You gotta learn where to drink
Can anyone give an idea of how much a daily spend is now, as this details are a few years old now

http://www.bettysgoa.com in the fine dining section. It will give you a rough idea. For lunch we will often just have chicken/veg/prawn hakka noodles (kind of like chow mein) for about £1 or a curry and a naan bread for about £1.30 and has already been said unless we are having a special seafood dish a meal for three including drinks (but not wine) costs less than £10 on an evening.
Although prices vary slightly from place to place there is a menu on
We are a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children. We went last year for 2 weeks. Paid for eggs every morning, had lunch and drinks all day at the beach shack and ate good meals out every night (and drunk as much beer, honeybee and soft drinks as we wanted). We travelled in taxis a few times and had a day out at the spice plantation, elephants and did the dolphin trip. We also bought no end of "tourist" souvenirs and bits of clothing at the markets. Add on the tips along the way and we spent a grand total of £520. We were amazed. Admittedly we had been before so didn't spend too much on going out and about but we still found it hard to spend our money.
Tony trust me I might be a tight Jock (we are not really tight) I would
Can I be included in the party ?
What do you think.........of course and I so hope we can all have a South meet up too
