I thought is was a nice peaceful journey.

I found it much better driving myself than in a coach, but a must do trip if you love scenery

Enjoyed the boat trip there from Puerto Soller.

We got the early boat and it was so peaceful, as my wife and I ventured up the gorge you could hear a pin drop, then we heard some movements in nearby bushes............and out trotted a mountain goat, totally shocked us.

We then enjoyed a paella lunch near the boat dock and we were delighted we'd taken the early boat as it became heaving with visitors, so off to Puerto Soller for some sunbathing on the beach.

Went first time by boat which was very good and returned by coach. Fed wild cats in gorge. That was before entrance from sea was blocked by shingle. Second visit was Absolutely FANTASTIC, as we drove there in hire car which gave us more time. Return journey was out of this world and really tested my rally driving skills. Got wife to video us going into sheer rock face at speed, then at last moment turning corner. Had family on edge of seat when showing them video. If you think you can drive--this place really separates the men from the boys. Gives whole new meaning to hairpin bends.
DOWNSIDE:- Car park for Sa Colabra is at top of steep hill. Very awkward police man would not allow me to drop off disabled wife at bottom of hill where everything is, despite me showing him my Blue badge. Needless to say I reported him on our return.

Everytime we go to Mallorca with different friends i always hire a car and take them to Sa Colabra . Its a fantastic drive and its nice to have a swim when you get down to the bottom, theres also a nice walk through a rock cave to the next bay and a few restaurants for refreshments.

i went to sa calobra on a coach in july with no frills excursions and oh my goodness i have never felt so sick in all my life. it was beautiful though and i did see a goat. i also took a boat from there to soller and got the rickety train from soller to palma.

We did the island trip with First Choice.

It was a bit of a cloudy overcast day & when we went up the mountain it was like being in thick fog !

The coach driver had to reverse and reposition the coach to get round a bend (we all cheered when he succeeded & we lived to tell the tale)

The tour guide then showed us a bus which as fallen down the cliff, not what we wanted to really see, but how we laughed !

We also went on a boat, a tram and the soller train.

A great day out !

Did the trip by car just the one time. Cried from sheer terror all the way there and back. It was the scariest trip of my life. My husband had to concentrate one hundred percent and I think he gripped the wheel all the way. We are only in our 40's so not a couple of oldies who are easily scared. One of the most frightening things is when your small little hire car meets a great big tour bus on a sweeping bend that has a sheer drop on all sides. Sa Colabra is truly a magnificent place to go but next time I will take the boat!
