I think the brochures for winter 08/09 will be on sale in October this year, that is going on previous years, I will probably be booking something early myself when they do come on sale :)

Hi folks, is it cheaper the earlier you book?? been reading through the threads and most people seem to book well in advance. Its our first time in nov and if we like it as much as you lot do, i persume we will be camped outside the travel agents the night we return

Hello wee_flea are you going this november 2007....or next year...colleen

If you are going in November you could leave it quite late and get a bargain.
November tends to be cheaper.

Are you just buying a flight or a package.

The cheapest period for 2 weeks is going out end of November or beginning of December.

If you want a specific hotel then book early.

The first year we went (Begining of November) I booked on 11th September at lunch time, if I had waited 4 hours it would have been £200 each cheaper.

We would have liked to go this year but, already been away and going to turkey september so, the finances will not allow for november. We will be looking at going late november next year. I will be reading plenty on here to get as much info as I can before we set off.

We have gone 8 times from Manchester with Monarch and have stopped at Bahrain every time except once when we had to go via Azerbaijan (think I have spelt that wrong but its not a place I would choose for a hol anyway!) because of the gulf war.
Reply
We also went via Azerbaijan in March 2003, it was the day the Gulf War broke out and we were worried that we might not get there, what made it worse, when we came back they wouldn't let us get off the plane in Baku because of the Sars virus. We have flown with Monarch on several occasions and as far as I'm aware it is just the Saturday flight that goes via Bahrain the Thursday flight is direct.
