So in the HT'ers opinion is it worth paying the extra to upgrade your flights to the premium service...? I was thinking as a surprise for my OH whether to book the premium seats, would love to see the look on his face. We flew First Choice last year in their standard seats and just booked the sit together option, have to say it was much better than I was expecting.
Has anyone else splashed out and was it worth it?

We did it last year with ThomsonFly...but now they've upgraded Economy probably won't bother again. It's not a huge flight if you're non-stop, and the difference isn't like Business / Economy on a scheduled airline.
