Hi...
I've just booked up to go to the Luxmar flying out on 30th December 2007 for a week and there's a few questions that I'd be grateful for thoughts on please.
Me and my mate are both 21, so you can imagine the kind of things we enjoy doing on holiday. Drink, Women, Drink, Women etc. Now I understand that a lot of older people visit Benidorm at this time of year. But is there still a healthy amount people around my age there?? And are the clubs, bars etc all still open?
Also does anyone have any thoughts on the Luxmar? I know it's not gonna be a brilliant place but any info on location etc would be great.
Thanks in advance of any info.
Hi cognito ... you may find some useful info on these pages:
You will find that the 31st of December will be extremely busy in the clubs of people of all ages. After that it tends to be mostly older people as a lot of the younger ones travel home on New Years Day. From then on until around March it is aimed more towards the older generation.
I went to Benidorm for Christmas and New Year last year and it was a bit quiet in the clubs all days except for Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, depending on what day these fall on, Saturdays is always busy in the clubs as a lot of Spanish people travel to Benidorm for the night out.
The busiest places were Beachcomber and Bahamas. They have a lot of special offers on drinks to get people in so guaranteed a few people at least. A lot of the other club type polaces change to cabaret bars at that time of year. You will be better to see a few comediens etc before you go out to the square and get there about 12ish. Any earlier than this and it will be pretty quiet.
Hope this helps

I expected it to be a lot quieter that time of the year. But as long as there is a few folk about it should be ok.
Is the Luxmar fairly close to the square? and what time do bars/clubs in the square stay open until?
It looks like the Luxmar Apartments are about 10 minute walk from the main square. The clubs were open till around 6-7 in the morning. They seem to stay open as long as there are a few people in there. Then Hippodrome was open till baout 8 were most of the other bar staff would go after work.
Hope you have a great time. Might bump into you there as I am moving in September !
Regards
Sarah
Look out for a drunken bloke in a Wolves shirt, talking with a strong black country accent.
Should spot you then seeing as I am from Wolverhampton!!!!
Not sure I will be wearing the shirt though but the accent can't be misssed!!
