Actually ....

Now i think about it, i can't remember the last time i bumped into a Welsh holidaymaker when i've been in Estartit ... it's always English and Scottish!

Not a bad thing at all and no offence was meant . I just noticed that there weren't that many welsh people travelling with Ferris as in the past when waiting for our pick up there would be coach after coach pulling into the station this year there were only two.

My comment does not relate to the topic I just want to know were Lindy ended up on her all/inclusive allocation on arrival. We were put in the Olympic in Calella, it was not all/inclusive in the Ferris brochure, so it caught me by surprise.

The outside of the hotel looks a bit scruffy but it was not bad to stay in, there are four pools and the food was excellent, the Calella Palace was almost next door, and the good old Beach Boys Club around the corner.

You are quite right though there was not as many Welsh as in previous years.

I was also allocated in the Olympic , i didn't like it at all . Will definately book a hotel of my choice next time , but for what we paid i cant complain .

What Ferris need to do is extend their pickup points northwards, not westwards ;)

Are the Welsh school and work shutdowns earler in July, I went to the Royal Star the first two weeks in July last year and it was teeming with them. This year the last week in July. first week in August there were very few around.

Or is the speculation around this board regarding Ferris correct, are Ray and his family not marketing in the right area's.

i work in school so i dont think the holidays have much to do with it . I wonder if certain people are going either earlier or later when the price have dropped a little , but personally i think the prices are very reasonable throughout the year. As to rumours about Ferris selling out i did ask on my going and coming back journeys obviously different hostesses and they said they had heard rumours but couldn't see it happening as he is still making too much money, Mr Ferris is taking more of a back seat these days and his son and daughter have taken over more.
But how much do the couriers and drivers know , i suppose they have to apply for their jobs on a seasonal basis , and as i have been with Ferris 9 times now i was surprised to see drivers from the past.

Hi my kids school hols were different to most other areas of the UK last year, not sure about summer hols but all the others were out of sync.
I've never been on a ferris holiday live about 15 miles from their depot but my parents in Derby have!!!
We'll be in the Costa Brava in June, I'm English but hubby & kids are Welsh.
See you all there!!! :kiss

My family and i wont be using Mr Ferris this year as we have booked to go to Rhodes, i will miss the costa brava as i love it , but i found the journey too much last year, so unless he has over night stops then i am sorry to say that the costa brava will be without one more welsh family .
