Just back...........and missing it !!!

Just back from 2 weeks at the Ebru Hotel, Marmaris.
A truly brilliant holiday, for a 2* hotel the place was superb. The staff were amazing, seemed to be working around the clock, Alex, Carlos, Carlito, Gigsy, Murat and Freddie, were always there with a smile, nothing was to much trouble for them. They put on some great entertainment, including Freddie dressed as a female belly dancer..............had to be seen to be believed !!!!!
Unfortunately the hotel is coming down at the end of the year, a big shame as all our group said they would have been going back next year.

So to some up our stay in a word................QUALITY !!!!!!

Great you had a fantastic time micko1962, I think you will find that in the majority of Hotels in Turkey where they will almost do anything to help you out, These people work very hard as you have seen and dont get much in the way of wages from the owners.

I think we are going back to Crete next year, not sure why really but the feeling was it would not be the same in any other hotel, even the rep said she didnt know a hotel with the same atmosphere as the Ebru.

I will certainly go back to Marmaris at some stage, you really cant get to much of a good thing can you. Doubt i will go in August again though, was just a bit to hot for me at times, but the pool saved the day on many occasions.

Lovely place full of great people, as for the food..............where else in the world can you get kebabs like theirs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wasnt the Ebru a fab place! Im glad you liked Marmaris, as you know that was my secomd time and i would def go back again. Quite rightly said the Ebru boys are amazing, i think they should bottle the energy they have and sell it, they are def the ones that make that hotel.

I must appologies aswell Mick for not coming to say goodbye to you on your last night, i hope you had a good flight back and didnt have any delays.

I think Ryans missing having Steph and your lads to lark about with!

Have a fab holiday were ever you go decide to go next year and tell them all i said hello.

WE had some great food in Jackies Bar, which is behind the Gima centre on the main road, also Teirnas Irish Bar next to the Gima, the irish stew is to die for !!!!!

Hi Nikki, we found what we believed to be the best kebeb's in town at the little cafe next to Dr Angel's 60's & 70's bar, its owned by them as well.

Total quality and cheap with it.

Im not sure where your hotel is so will do best i can.

If you head down the main street towards Marmaris harbour past the "Gima Centre Point" shopping centre, on the right hand side there is a new apart/hotel called "Chianturk", set just back of the street, (good food there as well) take the next right, down side of that and you will see Dr Angels on the bend ahead of you.

Hope this helps.

P.s. bar the far the best chilli sauce in town.

To be honest nikki, i never seen ONE !!!!!

we were in a group of 10 and not one of us got bit, so i would say dont worry.

I was a bit concerned because i had seen a few reviews on HT that the place was swarming.
