We dump the bags in our room, get the swim stuff on and go straight for our first kingfisher and some food. I don't particularly like kingfisher but that first one always tastes fab for some reason. We then normally fall asleep by the pool and have to head back to the room for an hours sleep before going out at night. Same thing every time and we love it.

Smudger we do the very same thing as you do but we go for 3 or 4 beers ....plus we do the same thing as you do too Sim.. get the swimmers on head to the beach get a bit of lunch have a sleep on the sunbeds go back to the hotel and get ready to go out that night ...colleen : :

Get to the room, try and work out how to get 3 wks worth of my clothes into the 12 inch space in the wardrobe my mrs has allotted me.Listen again while she explains to me how my stuff would be better sqashed into the drawers, while hers is hanging up in the wardrobe.Go to see the lads who work in the bar, have a couple of drinks, return to the room knock out a few Zzzzz's get up about 6ish so at least the 1st shower I have in Goa will be a hot one, go to the bar meet up with old friends then out for the 1st of many wonderful meals....ah bliss....Keith

Open suitcase get changed into some shorts, send OH to elephant shop for some mossie spray,plugin and coils ready for the onslaught of mossies in the evenings. while he is out shopping and having his fist kings in Nino's nook, I unpack pour myself a kings which the other half delivers before he goes the shop. 1 hour later we are on the bus to our favorite shack.

We usually arrive between 4 and 6 pm, so its have a shower while OH is unpacking (It seems I don't put the clothes in the right places), then after I am out of the shower moan because she not ready to go out.
Off to one to a restaurant with good intentions to eat early and then an early night. Never happens. On the way meet & greet people we haven't seen for 10 months, each stop takes a minimum of 10 minutes, 5 cups of green tea later we make it to eat and a couple of Kingfishers for me and "just a small Honeybee" (or 6) for OH.
Having eaten OH suggests we nip into a certain bar to see if other HT's are there so we can off load bacon & cheese (no we didn't bring it with us, so will need to come back next day).
Just a couple to be sociable. The lights are going off in the bar so we know it's time to go.
Maybe January we will actually have that early night.

Cant wait now, flying out to Goa 13th Oct, only around 40 sleeps to go.

We get picked up by an indian friend from the Airport, he then takes us to most bars on the way from the airport to Arpora. Stop and have as many freezing Kingfisher/Kings that we can get our hands on

Usually end up half cut, get to the hotel, down to the pool and have a few hours kip on the sun lounger. Up to the room about 6/7 shower, changed and then off out for more beer and a meal then down the beach for a party.

Brilliant, cannot wait!!

Buy a towel, put on shorts and hit the shack on the beach for several beers and a good catch up!

Well it will be much the same as everyone else, grab a taxi to the hotel to get ahead of the coaches. Get room, dump suitcases, change and off up to the beach for a spot of lunch and then sleep off the flight. Later on back to the hotel change and off out to eat, which will probably be the first lobster of our holiday!

We do all of the above! Can't wait
