Normally my wife and I go to Tenerife for a fortnight at Easter, but next year the prices they are asking are so bad we are looking elsewhere.
We are thinking about the Costa del Sol, been there before, but my wife now has rheumatoid arthritis and we would need to hire a mobility scooter. We know we can hire down there, but can anyone reccomend a good hotel in Torremollinos or Fuengirola that is scooter friendly? We are consdering the Aloa Puerta in Torremollinos or the The Angela or Yaramar in Fuengirola. Does anyone know how good these are access wise etc?
Also, this early in the year, 5th to 19th April, would there be much open in the way of night life? Music bars? Or can anyone say with certainty one of these hotels has good entertainment?
Hi sungazer, we stayed at the Yaramar in May this year. Can thoroughly recommend it. When we were there there were a few people with mobility scooters, and the hotel seemed to be well geared up for disabled guests. The resort of Fuengirola and especially around the Yaramar is very flat, and there did seem to be an abundance of wheelchairs and scooters about. I can't help with the entertainment side of it as we always go out of an evening, but the guests we spoke to said it was good. I did put a review on if you read that you will find more info about the hotel. The review is the last one to be posted. Good luck with your search, Linda.
