I have heard something similar to this (although how true it is i have no idea) that a family turned up in fuerteventura asking where the theme park was - they thought they had booked to go to port adventura the theme park place in costa daurada - dont know whether it was a travel agent mis hearing them or pronounciation problems!! but moral of the story is do your research and check your tickets!!

I've heard of a mix up with flights - Gerona and Genoa. Easy mistake to make I suppose.
