There is a new public swimming pool in Cala Egos that you can use
The pools and the sea are still quite warm and bays like Mondrago do not go very deep all of a suden so they are ideal for learning.
There are very rarely any waves so give it a go, If i see you with your water wings on i will come and say hello,
Best of luck,
Steve.
Thanks for that Steve, how far is it to Cala Egos, we are stopping at Cala Ferrera Hotel. I will give the pools ago and the sea, but sorry to disapoint, but I have proressed from water wings to one float or a go on my own in a doggy paddle sort of way, I'm sure you will spot me making a fool of myself. Thanks again Bobby
Its quite a good walk to Egos from Cala Ferrera, 30 to 40 minutes or €5 in a taxi.
There is a very small pool inside the Ponnent Playa hotel just across the road from you but i think it is only for residents but may be worth a look.
Have fun,
Steve.
There is also a little tourist train that goes in a big loop from Cala Ferrerra through Cala Dor round to Cala Egos - last year I think it was 3 euros return. Nice little ride to see the resort too!
well done for taking the plunge and learning to swim, you are never to old to learn a new skill. I myself learnt to swim at the age of 40 and i love it although i never like to be out of my depth. Hope you enjoy cala dor we have been the last 2 summers and loved it, we have booked again for next year
Thanks again Bobby
