Bodrum has a good weekly market. If you are into history then visit the Mausoleum and Bodrum Castle. A short boat trip away is the Greek Island of Kos where there is more historic items within easy walking distance of the harbour.

Ok folks thanks - and thanks Les I'd definately be interested in the historical sites - not good on boats though
From Gumbet on a dolmus it costs 170ytl (80p) and takes about 20 minutes, it is worth visiting on a tuesday for the market and of an evening, lots of shops and restaurants there i am sure you will like it. and the castle is awesome at night. When we went to Kos we travelled across to Bodrum for the shopping but really not worth doing in reverse as there is not much to see in Kos. Have a lovely holiday.
Thanks Charlie, Im staying in Bodrum, sounds cool
