You can usually pick up a reasonable return flight from UK to Luxor for a little under £190 - booking in advance.

If you go to Egypt in the summer season (May to end Sept) then accommodation prices are usually cheaper because it is very hot then so less people go.

We booked accommodation through http://www.memphistours.com with Mr Sherif for our trip this May and I can thoroughly recommend him.

We paid $35pp per night to stay in Sonesta St George hotel in Luxor on BB basis.

It's the cheapest place to eat out in Luxor and there are such a lot of places to eat in.

Trips should be done early in the morning - then, chill out & relax by the pool before going out to do some "bartering" after evening dinner

Last minute deals in the main summer season can usually be found on teletext..... Thomson used to have great prices but not had need to use a tour operator for the last 4 years as now we live only an hours flight from our number 2 favourite holiday destination
