Hi All,
I've travelled with Thomson's a few years now and have found all their recommended hotels to come up to expectations. However, I booked the Louis Colossos Beach Hotel (Kalithea) only this week (for 10th october) and now I'm wondering if I've done the right thing!
Am I right in thinking the Louis chain bought out the Colossos last year(?) and have updated it somewhat? And is it in Kalithea or Faliraki? There seems to be some confusion.
The reviews on Thomson site are giving it 4T's and are all favourable, but other forums like this one give rather bad reviews, though some would be pre Louis chain taking it over...could that be the reason?
I know reviews are subjective and I for one couldn't give a fig about the lack of sunbeds, so long as the place is clean and the food safe to eat!
Can anyone put my mind at rest?

both this years members reviews are favourable, i would avoid reports on the tour operators own site as they are likely to be extremely bias, yes it is in Kalithea between Rhodes town and falaraki

I dont think it is in Kalithea - up to the Palladium Hotel is still Faliraki. After the bad reputation Faliraki had some years ago, they started to call the place Kalithea rather than Faliraki. But the Colossos Beach still belongs to the hotel mile in Faliraki.
How crafty!
Its classed as Faliraki even though its a fair way out. It was owned by the Louis group since 2004 I think. I went there in 2005 and it was tatty to say the least but in the winter of that year it was due to be updated.
