can anyone tell me if you can go on a day trip to santorini if we were staying in Pefkos?

Not possible, I think, in a day. It's around 17 hours by high-speed ferry, as far as I know. How about a day trip to Turkey instead (Marmaris, about 45 mins by high-speed catamaran), or the near island of Symi?

Santorini is an easy trip from Heraklion in Crete, but no way from Rhodes.
You'll have to suffer another trip to Geece and put up with another lousy holiday!

have actually been to santorini from Crete, in 86!, oh well have to look for another trip!
Have done both Marmaris & Symi from Rhodes, and enjoyed them both. Symi is lovely (my avatar is the Panormitis Monastery on Symi) and I would recommend it to anyone.
