Hi I know what you mean, we are opting for the dom rep instead!!! The only advice i can give is to try pricing the kids up as adults rather than kids as thenyou avoid under occupancy or even look at b&b or half board again no under occ. this worked on first choice website.

It really is a just a case of looking around. The FC/Eclipse website is good for generating quick quotes easily. Admittedly we booked back in April but we got a 5 star ultra AI in Turkey for £3000 for the four of us for next August. 2008 does seem expensive though, it took me a long time to find what seems to be the right holiday at a decent price! Hiya Vickiec, if you do consider doing a DIY, try e-mailing them direct to see how much they'd charge you for next year, I think you'll find it cheaper than what Eclipse charge. We booked the Pollensa Park hotel in Puerto Pollensa for August this year direct, we had a good saving rather than going with a tour op. I've done the same for next year, we are going to try the Esmeralda Park Aparthotel in Cala D'Or, they have e-mailed me a price and again we will make a saving
They don't have a kid's club as such at the Pollensa Park but they do daytime activities with the kid's which seemed very popular and always a mini disco every night. My Son still got invited to join the First Choice soccer school even though we'd booked direct.

Just remember on a self catering holiday with two kids they charge an absolute fortune for underoccupancy!
I bet you could get a H/B hotel in one of their family rooms for less than the £2500 quotes for s/c.
Only thing then though would be that there would be no cooking facilities in the room!

How about cala bona, Protur Floriana Resort 17 july £1994 from norwich with portlands priced up as 4 adults. Have you priced up holidats in apartments as 4 adults instead of 2 adults and 2 kids. Its often cheaper to price the kids as adults.
