Im sure ive already asked this question a year ago, i want to get my son christened while we are in Goa next year, but i cant find the question. We are catholic and i thought it would be really special to have the event take place over in Goa.
My son has just started a catholic primary school, and he needs to be baptised before he takes his holy commuion, i think thats in year 3.
If we get him christened in Goa will it be recognised over in the UK?
I don't see any problem! The Sacrement of Baptism is surely valid whichever Catholic Church it is performed in.
JOHN PAUL II conducted Mass in Old Goa in 1986. If Goa was good enough for the Pope, then I guess it's quite good enough for your son's baptism
Make sure you get the Certificate of Baptism. If you have any enquiries, perhaps the The Diocesan Family Service Centre of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman can answer them
