Hi mehmeh,
The barut does have water slides, although not has large as the ones at the Delphin, they are well planned so has not to look like a massive metal structure and have been built into a stone effect wall. there are larger slides and then an area for smaller children. The childrens club is also well planned and they have a play area with a canopy over it in summer and a club area and mini golf nearby.
The barut is wonderful and if you type into google the hotel name and look for the holidaycheck site alot of german reviews are available with many photos of the hotel. Press on translate this when you get to the site.
The Barut is the number one hotel on that site and is deserving of all the praise!!
If it is slides your after the Royal Wings has the best in the area complete witn wave pool and lazy river and a fun fair with big wheel etc and it also has trampolines.
The barut has a mini cinema which is great, they show an english film daily
Cant think of a name
The lara area is pretty much a long strip of 5 star themed hotels like the concorde, titanic ,the limak has a japanese theme, Royal wings is built in shape of a planes wings etc . There are shops and a big shopping mall but little else. the hotels all have plenty to keep you amused and it is hard to be bored, but if you like the culture etc it is a short ride to Antalya and is only a 20 minute ride from the airport which is great. The reps have lots of trips to offer if that is your thing. If you hire a car then there are plenty of places of interest close by and side and belek are within reach. Antalya has a museum I believe and great shopping.
We go for a long walk along the beach each morning usually or sometimes at the front of the hotels and then we tend to stay put at the hotel as we are not really into trips, so this area suits us perfectly. We do plan on hiring a car next easter to travel to tekirova and kemer about an hour and half away which was the first area of Turkey we went to and the scenery is breath taking. It is to hot in the summer months to do anything.
The hemera has a few shops and bars across the way and you can walk via the beach into Side , the road at the front of the hotel is very busy but the hotel is well set back with a long drive way and flower beds.Side is a nice place with boat and gulet trips available from the harbour
Lara is an up and coming area still being developed but will eventually have a disney type theme park and I suspect the prices will rocket even further. It is really strange when we go at easter there is snow on the mountains and you are sat on the beach in the mid 20 degrees and the snow caps can been seen in the distance!!
regards violet
Forget the all inclusive in Olu Deniz, in my opinion you don't need it, just got back from staying a week at the Asena Beach hotel and had a fabulous time, can't wait to go back.

stayed for 1 night whilst waiting on the ferry across to Kos. it was soooo bad. My review isnt even on yet (under name of stella curtis should be on in a day or two)
worst ever has to be Hotel Crystal in Bodrum - have a look on this link, stayed for 1 night whilst waiting on the ferry across to Kos. it was soooo bad. My review isnt even on yet (under name of stella curtis should be on in a day or two)
We have stayed at the Hemera and the WOW Bodrum Resort and both were excellent. Would go back to either again! We had a 2-bed apartment at the Hemera which was really spacious and the Hemera has a gentle stroll through the gardens to the beach which was preferable to all the steps at the WOW. I understand the Hemera has had a refurb recently - it was very good before so I'm sure you've made the right decision!
We've also stayed at the WOW Kremlin Palace and the Ephesus Princess - both were fab so I can't rate my worst AI in Turkey!

Thanks for all the replies and all the comments on the hemara and other A/I hotels. I now know a few bad A/I to advoid and few good A/I to consider in the future.
Munamar has been taken over by Oylum hotel owners so maybe the contract with Thomas Cook was not renewed
John
We have had some good A/I hotels in Turkey listed below
Club Green Nature Marmaris Ultra A/I
Club Asteria Belek
Sun Club City Olu Deniz
Tuscan Beach Kusadasi
Abacus Metropol in Icmeler
Only one poor one which was Altin Orfe in Icmeler
We have also stayed in
Club Pineta Marmaris
Armar Marmaris
Emre Beach Marmaris
Ayderia Marmaris
Pineta Deluxe Marmaris
All theses hotels we did enjoy but not as much has the first few hotel's listed but each to there own
People like different things a good hotel to one person maybe rubbish to another.
The worst is Hotel Akdeniz Beach in Olu Deniz. Ran out of Vodka, Lemonade and has cheap Diet Coke, terrible drinks, terrible food had to eat out and spent a lot of money, pool area dirty as was the food area. First visit to Turkey and last. If this is the best place in Turkey I would hate to see the worst.
Pegasus in Sarigerme is the worst - never again!
