I have 4 days spare at the beginning of October and one of my options is to go to Lebanon. Obviously I know very little about the place, but a friend mentioned possibly trying it. I also think I need to be cautious, does anyone know what the latest situation is...for definite?
I was wondering if anyone has been (recently) and could help me please?
Also, what is there to do there? Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

It's your life and your decision, but I think you will find that the Foreign Office are warning against non-essential travel to Lebanon.
I thought as much. It's not too far from where I'm staying right now, and lots of people say good things about the place. Shame if that is the case.

I haven't been there personally, but a close friend went on a cycling holiday about 5 years ago and still talks about the wonderful time she had.
